A special event to end the stigma of mental health issues was held in Woodstock Thursday night.

A week after a student rally to draw attention to local suicide rates sparked national attention, sportscaster Michael Landsberg brought a message of hope to the community through his #SickNotWeak organization.

The not-for-profit provides mental-health education and support to those in need.

Hundreds of people came out to the Woodstock District Community Complex for the event.

News of five youth suicides in the city since early January inspired Landsberg, who has been public about his own battle with depression, to host the event.
