Three people face a total of 32 charges following a break-in at a Guelph apartment.

Late Sunday night, police were called to 90 Carden Street for a report of a break-and-enter in progress.

“By the time that we had arrived, the individuals that were trying to break in had left the scene,” Const. Mike Gatto said.

Still in the apartment was the alleged victim of the break-in, who had been shot with a pellet gun.

“He actually had to have a pellet removed from his body,” Gatto said.

Police were able to identify three suspects, all of whom were arrested Monday without incident.

All three are Guelph men, aged 31, 29 and 20.

They face charges including breaking and entering, causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon and various offences relating to weapons and breaches of court orders.

Police continue to investigate.
