One person was seriously hurt Monday night in a crash in southeast Cambridge.

It happened around 8:45 p.m. on Dundas Street, near Branchton Road.

According to Waterloo Regional Police, an eastbound vehicle was turning left into a private driveway when it crossed paths with a westbound motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, a 24-year-old Cambridge man, was taken to a Hamilton hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the car was not hurt, but the vehicle itself was significantly damaged.

Speed is believed to be a factor in the crash, but no charges were laid Monday night and police continue to investigate.

“We are looking for any witnesses to this collision to help determine the cause of this collision,” said Sgt. Frank Heinrich.
