A 56-year-old Cambridge man is dead following a rollover crash just south of the city.

According to Waterloo Regional Police, the man was driving eastbound on Beke Road around 6 p.m. Sunday when his car flipped over and landed in a pond.

“It looks like he lost control of his vehicle and entered the bush area,” Sgt. Terri Turner told CTV News.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

His name has not been released.

Police say they continue to investigate.

“It doesn’t seem like alcohol was a factor, however any other factors haven’t (been) ruled out,” Turner said.
