Michael Schweitzer, convicted of killing a 17-year-old girl in Milverton, is scheduled to be sentenced Monday in Stratford.

In January, Schweitzer was found guilty of second-degree murder in the death of Nicole Wagler, as well as assault with a weapon in the shooting of a man which left serious injuries.

This is the second time a sentencing hearing has been scheduled in this case.

Dozens of people filled a courtroom in Stratford at the end of April, expecting Michael Schweitzer to be sentenced.  A key document, the presentencing report, had not been processed and the judge could not move ahead with sentencing until that had been completed.

A conviction of second-degree murder carries with it an automatic life sentence. The judge will determine how much time Schweitzer must spend in custody before he is eligible for parole.
