A 21-year-old man is facing charges after police deployed a spike belt to stop a vehicle outside Windsor.

Provincial police attempted to stop the vehicle Friday night in Leamington when they say it sped off.

Police didn't chase the vehicle but say it was spotted shortly after, leading officers to lay down a spike belt and stop it.

The man, from Essex, is facing two counts each of stunt driving and failing to stop for police.

Investigators say more charges are pending.
