An Ornge air ambulance was called to the scene of a serious dirt bike crash in North Dumfries Saturday night.
Several people were riding near a wooded area between Greenfield Road and Beke Road when a man in his 40s crashed his bike.
Emergency crews had difficulty spotting the accident scene because it happened far from the main road.
So another dirt bike spun around, stirring up a dirt cloud, so the Ornge helicopter knew where to land.
The driver of the dirt bike was taken to a Hamilton hospital with critical injuries.
