WINDSOR, Ont. - A 52-year-old man has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the death of an artist in Kingsville, Ont.

Court heard that in January of this year, Abraham Froesse-Friessen shot and killed 47-year-old Bridie Fanning while she lay in her bed.

The court heard the two were neighbours and Fanning feared for her safety following a few incidents with Froesse-Friessen.

She had called police just months before she was killed in the community 40 kilometres southeast of Windsor.

After the shooting, Froesse-Friessen called 911 and told them he had shot someone. He told investigators Fanning didn't deserve to live and he hoped she suffered.

Froesse-Friessen will be sentenced Dec. 15.
