Hydro rates have risen again.
Your next hydro bill will be more after the province increased rates on May 1. 2016, to 18 cents per kilowatt hour during peak periods.
The Ontario Energy Board says the hike was necessary due to the lower than expected electricity use over the winter.
The hike will add an additional $37.00 onto an ‘average’ bill.
