A London, Ont., police officer has been injured after being thrown from a vehicle that sped away after being stopped.
Police say three officers stopped a vehicle about 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Springbank Drive and Wonderland Road area while investigating a theft from a vehicle.
Police say one occupant fled, prompting an officer to lean into the open window on the passenger side.
It's alleged the driver hit the gas dragging the officer, who was partially in the vehicle. Police say the driver then swerved and the officer was thrown from the vehicle, causing a concussion, scrapes and bruises. The other officers were not injured.
The vehicle was located later and Sharon Baker, 35, was charged with failing to remain at the scene of an accident, failing to stop for police and three counts of attempted murder.
Keith O'Loughlin, 37, is charged with theft not exceeding $5,000 and assaulting a police officer.
Themistoklis Kouzounas, 32, is being sought on a charge of theft not exceeding $5,000.
