Legal issues stalled the careless driving trial of a Grand River Transit bus driver.
Rafael Quintanilla was charged in October 2011 after the bus he was driving struck a St. Mary’s High School student.
The crash happened at the Homer Watson and Block Line roundabout.
Cassi Lam was seriously hurt.
There was a legal question about a statement the bus driver had prepared at the time of the crash.
That's resolved for now.
The trial will resume Friday and then continue in the new year.
