A rainy Labour Day weekend should clear up in time for the holiday itself.

Most of our viewing area will see a 60 per cent chance of showers from late Saturday afternoon and continuing on into Sunday at a 40 per cent chance, with thunderstorms also possible both days.

By Monday, the storms are expected to roll out of southern Ontario – and sunny conditions will take their place.

Waterloo-Wellington will see a high of 30 C on Saturday, with temperatures forecast to reach 25 C on Sunday and 27 C on Monday.

In Huron-Perth, Saturday’s high will hit 27 C, followed by 26 C and 27 C on Sunday and Monday respectively.

Oxford and Brant counties may escape the rain on Saturday, with only a 30 per cent chance – although that will rise to 60 per cent later in the day and linger through Sunday.

They’ll also see forecast highs of 30 C on Saturday, 25 C on Sunday and 27 C on a sunny holiday Monday.

Areas in Grey-Bruce will see rain arrive earlier Saturday or even late Friday, moving out of the area late Saturday night.

In those areas, Saturday will bring a high of 26 C, with Sunday cooling to 24 C and Monday rebounding to 26 C.
