A 44-year-old Kitchener woman was arrested Thursday, after being charged with two counts of fraud under $5000.
The fraud occurred between 2012 and 2013, when Belva Jo Williams acquired money from the Veterans of Foreign War, as well as personal friends.
She said she had been diagnosed with Cancer and required surgery.
She will appear in court May 30.
