A 16-year-old boy is facing numerous charges after a violent altercation in Kitchener on Saturday night.

It began just after 7 p.m. at a home on Waterloo St.

Police say the teen shot a man with a pellet gun and then stabbed him multiple times.

The man was taken to Grand River Hospital where he received treatment and was released. His injuries were not life-threatening.

Police say the teen fled the scene and was arrested a short time later at his parent’s home.

He's charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon, and failing to comply with a court order.
