While the future of Everest College remains up in the air, one KitchenerWaterloo school says it’s willing to take in some of the college’s students no matter what.

St. Louis, the Waterloo Catholic District School Board-run adult and continuing education centre, says it has room for 35 personal support worker students.

“We thought we could really flex to the needs of these displaced students from Everest,” Paul Cox, the school’s principal, tells CTV News.

“We would have our guidance people work with them, and look at what they’ve learned up until (now) … and take it from there.”

While many Everest students are potentially out several thousand dollars for their tuition, St. Louis says its fee would be closer to $1,000.

Some students would be able to graduate as soon as this fall.

Everest College closed its 14 Ontario campuses, including one in downtown Kitchener, last month.

The school declared bankruptcy the following day.

At least one interested buyer has already made a proposal to take over the school.
