It's not a bird, it's not a plane, and it's not Superman.

Drones are increasingly being used by everyone from hobbyists to emergency crews.

With cameras attached, they provide great views of sights normally unseen by humans, or from angles usually considered unaccessible.

As drones grow in popularity, so too does the red tape surrounding them.

Operators have to register their vehicles with Transport Canada, take out liability insurance and follow a host of specific regulations.
