An influenza outbreak has sparked a "level two" alert at a hospital in London.

Officials say the Victoria Hospital outbreak affects an inpatient unit, and that affected patients have been placed in private rooms or are in a room with another patient who also has the virus.

Friday's announcement of the outbreak with at least two confirmed cases came a day after London Health Sciences Centre unveiled plans to have all doctors and staff get flu shots or wear a mask when in a ward with a flu case.
