Five cats were killed Thursday evening in a fire at a home in Waterloo.
Firefighters were called to the Breezewood Crescent home, near Erb Street and University Avenue, shortly after 8 p.m.
They were able to extinguish the fire.
Waterloo Regional Police say the fire is believed to be electrical in nature.
Damage is estimated at $220,000.
No humans were injured.
