Ottawa is launching a scientific study to examine complaints that wind turbines can cause health problems.

The Health Canada study will focus on residents in two thousand homes near several wind turbine installations across the country.

Some people complain that exposure to low-frequency noise and vibrations from turbines can lead to sleep disorders, headaches, depression, anxiety and even blood pressure changes.
