Police are investigating after one person was shot at a Guelph hotel.
The shooting occurred around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, at the Comfort Inn located at the corner of Woodlawn Road and Silvercreek Parkway.
According to Guelph Police, people inside the hotel heard multiple shots.
Responding officers found one person at the front of the hotel. That person was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Information on their identity was not immediately available.
Police said at 6:30 p.m. that at that point, they had nobody in custody in connection with the shooting and weren't certain who they were looking for, but did not believe the shooting represented a risk to public safety.
