An online auction that benefits a memorial fund for Grace Glofcheskie is now online.

The 24-year-old University of Guelph student was killed tragically in a hit and run, when walking home after a night out with friends, shortly before Christmas 2015.

Glofcheskie was struck when the driver of a stolen SUV avoided a police spot check; the Ford Escape he was driving rolled, hitting Glofcheskie. The driver ran off.

21-year-old Guelph man, Curtis Henri, was later arrested and charged with her death.

Glofcheskie had been working on her master’s degree at the University of Guelph. She was an active student involved in the College of Biological Sciences Student Council and was a member of the university’s golf team.

The Grace Glofcheskie Memorial Fund has been set up at the University of Guelph and all proceeds raised from the online auction will go to it.

The auction is taking place on Facebook and started Monday Feb. 22, 2016 at 8 a.m. Bidding closing on Feb. 23, 2016 at 11:59 p.m.

Auction winners will be announced the following day, Feb. 24.
