Guelph Police are asking the public for information relating to a sexual assault in the city’s south end.

Police say a man entered a Kortright Road residence around 2 a.m. Sunday.

“That male, on entering, went to one of the bedrooms that was in the residence, found a female that was sleeping there and sexually assaulted that female,” said Const. Mike Gatto.

The man then allegedly left the area before the incident was reported to police.

The man is described as 5’8” to 5’10” tall.

“He has a thin build and dark, short hair,” said Gatto.

It’s not clear how he was able to enter the home.

Police say the victim did not require medical attention.
