For the second time in as many weeks, Guelph Police are investigating a case of a driver allegedly attempting to lure someone into his vehicle.

Shortly before 1 a.m. Thursday, police say, a 21-year-old woman in downtown Guelph was approached by a man in a red Pontiac vehicle.

The man allegedly attempted to lure her into the vehicle, but drove away when the woman threatened to call police.

The driver is described as an Asian man, who is believed to be in his late 20s.

Last week, a similar incident was reported near Simmonds Drive and Wideman Boulevard.

Police described the driver in that case as a white man in his 40s, behind the wheel of a blue Honda with tinted windows.

Wellington County OPP are also investigating an apparent attempted luring case from late August.

In that case, they say, a teenage girl was approached by a stranger in a vehicle while walking in Aboyne, outside Elora.

That driver is described as a clean-shaven white man in his 30s, with a light blue vehicle.
