Two men were charged with arson after a house in Guelph was allegedly set on fire early Saturday morning.

Police were called to 541 Edinburgh Road South at 3:45 a.m., and say they arrived to find the residence engulfed in flames.

The house was vacant, and no one was hurt, but the home was completely destroyed, and damages are estimated at $250,000.

Benn Witteveen, 18, and Jordan Lamarre, 19, both of Guelph, were charged with arson, break and enter and breaching probation.

Lamarre was also charged with two counts of breaching an undertaking.
