Three people were arrested Tuesday in connection with Project Ice, an investigation into the crystal meth trade in Guelph.
The arrests actually took place in Waterloo – at an apartment building on Regina Street North.
According to Guelph Police, marijuana and equipment related to marijuana trafficking was found in one apartment, as well as nearly $3,000 in cash and small amounts of crystal meth, heroin and ecstasy.
Also allegedly seized by police were a bulletproof vest and a variety of weapons including a hatchet, an axe and a machete.
A 30-year-old man from Waterloo faces the bulk of the charges in connection with the raid, including possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a prohibited weapon, and other offences.
A 26-year-old Durham man and 22-year-old Ayton woman also face charges, mainly relating to drug possession.
A total of 18 people have now been arrested in connection with Project Ice, police say.
