Guelph Police say they want to speak with a man who allegedly asked a girl to get in his car in the city’s north end.
According to police, the incident happened between 4:45 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, near Simmonds Drive and Wideman Boulevard.
They say the girl had been walking in the area when a vehicle pulled up alongside.
The driver allegedly asked her for directions, than asked her to get in the car and help him find the street – at which point she ran to a friend’s house.
Police describe the car as a newer-model blue Honda with silver rims and tinted windows, and the driver as a white man in his 40s, with dark brown hair and salt-and-pepper sides, a tight-fitting black leather jacket, a spike-style spacer earring, sunken cheeks, a gold tooth on his upper plate, and freckles.
They also say he spoke with a lisp.
