Police are now ruling out foul play in the death of a man found at the bottom of the Elora Gorge.

The body was discovered Friday at the bottom of the gorge near Victoria Park. Investigators are still trying to figure out how the man ended up there.

The man is believed to be in his thirties and police say they will not be releasing his name.

"I saw the police cars and the rescue vehicles come but it happens fairly often so I'm a little blaise about it,” said Dawn Eaton an area resident.

Michael Hale who lives by the gorge say that he has seen flashing lights race for help too many times, and each instance he wonders if it is deadly.

"It's a real dilemma as to whether to protect everyone who could possibly suffer an injury from being near the Gorge versus the other side of the coin which makes the gorge so attractive for visitors," said Hale.

The Elora Gorge is now clear and available for visitors.
