A fire that ripped through a Haldimand County home on Monday afternoon is believed to have caused $350,000 in damage.

Haldimand County fire and paramedics attended the home on Rainham Road in Dunnville around 2:15 p.m.

Ontario Provincial Police said they were called to the fully-engulfed home and did not know if there was anyone inside the home at the time.

Shortly after it was confirmed that there was in fact no one inside the home and there were no injuries reported.

Rainham Road between Haldimand Road 50 and Haldimand-Dunnville Townline was closed for several hours.

Fire officials have determined the fire was not suspicious in nature.
