A fire at a business on Fairway Road in Kitchener is believed to have started in an electrical outlet.
Thursday evening, after the shop had closed for the night, a passerby noticed flames at Pioneer Transmission and phoned 911.
“Upon arrival, we did find a small fire visible from the outside,” said Greg Willett of the Kitchener Fire Department.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire and ventilate the building, although they had to break open a wall to do so.
Damage is estimated at $10,000.
There were no injuries.
