Five people face charges following the seizure of drugs, weapons and cash from two homes in Guelph.

Guelph Police say they executed search warrants Thursday at two homes on Plymouth Court, near Willow Road and Bagot Street, following a month-long investigation into the city’s crystal meth scene.

Seized were weapons including flick knives, a butterfly knife and two police batons, as well as a variety of drugs.

“There was approximately $1,800 worth of crystal meth, approximately $250 worth of oxycodone, as well as almost $200 worth of morphine. There was also a small amount of marijuana seized,” said Const. Gord Woods.

“Anytime that we can make a seizure like this … it’s great news.”

Also seized was $2,235 in cash.

Five people face a total of 36 charges in connection with the raids – including a 45-year-old man, a 39-year-old man, a 42-year-old woman and two teenage boys.
