The death of an 18-month-old child on a family farm in Huron County has been deemed accidental.

The girl died Sunday evening, after becoming separated from her siblings while playing on a farm on St. Helen’s Line near Lucknow.

Huron County OPP say the girl wandered away from the group and into a barn.

By the time she was found, she was unresponsive in a water trough.

She was pronounced dead in hospital, after attempts to revive her were unsuccessful.

Tuesday, she was identified as Fanny Yoder.

OPP have determined her cause of death to be an accidental drowning.
