Drivers may not always adhere to speed limits – but it’s not often one is found tripling the limit, especially while police are in the area.

That’s what Huron County OPP say happened last week in Goderich.

Early Thursday morning, they say, an officer saw a car speeding along Cove Road.

Using a radar device, the officer tracked the car at more than 90 km/h. The speed limit on Cove Road, which runs along the town’s main beaches, is 30 km/h.

The car was pulled over, and its driver – a 19-year-old Huron County man – charged with racing a motor vehicle.
