CTV News has learned which hotel will be opening at the new Barrel Yards development.
The Barrel Yards project manager tells CTV News that a new Delta Hotel will open next summer.
Chris Pidgeon of GSP Group says “The announcement will officially be made Tuesday.”
The nine-storey boutique hotel is being built on Erb Street near Father David Bauer Drive.
Pidgeon says a restaurant will also be constructed inside the hotel.
It was supposed to be open a while ago but there were some problems when one possible operator backed out of the deal.
Auburn Developments and the City of Waterloo have been negotiating with Delta over the past eight months.
This is a two hundred fifty million dollar development.
The Delta Hotel is expected to open next summer.
