Waterloo Regional police say they are continuing their search for older model red pickup truck, and it’s driver, whom they say is involved in a serious hit and run incident.

A cyclist in his 40's is in hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a truck at the intersection of king and Jackson in Kitchener Saturday night.

It’s believed the man suffered a blow to his head, when he was knocked off his bike. A pool of blood was left behind on the road.  Police say the driver of the pick up truck stopped briefly and fled the scene.

Waterloo Regional Police Traffic Sergeant, Frank Heinrich says,” The suspect vehicle in this case is outstanding at this time we're appealing to members of the community for any information in regards to this motor vehicle collision.”

Police says the truck driver is described as a younger white male
