Seven people were taken to hospital after a three-vehicle crash near Rockford, south of Owen Sound.

Grey County OPP say they were called to a section of Highway 6 & 10 around 4:30 p.m. Sunday.

The crash involved a northbound Jeep, which ended up colliding with a southbound Volkswagen in the southbound lane of the highway.

After that, it crashed head-on into a southbound Mercedes, and caught fire.

Five people were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Two others were seriously hurt – a 17-year-old girl from Chatsworth and a 32-year-old woman from Toronto, both of whom were airlifted to a hospital in London.

Police said Monday that an 18-year-old Owen Sound man had been charged with careless driving in connection with the crash.
