Traffic on the Highway 8 and the 401 was at a standstill Tuesday morning.
Disabled vehicles on both sides of the 401 between Highway 8 and Hespeler Road caused major slowdowns on the morning commute.
On the 401, eastbound traffic was backed up from Homer Watson to past Hespeler Road, westbound drivers were feeling the effects of the sluggish commute from close to Highway 8 through to Puslinch.
Drivers were advised if heading out on the 401, to give themselves extra time.
A single vehicle crash west of Paris closed Brant-Oxford Road. A vehicle crashed into a hydro pole between Paris Plains Church Road & West Dumfries Road, knocking down the pole and causing power lines across the roadway.
