The driver of a horse-drawn buggy has been charged in connection with a crash near Milverton.

Shortly before 11 a.m. Saturday, the buggy was travelling southbound on Perth Road 131 north of Milverton.

The buggy crossed the centre line, Perth County OPP say, and ended up in the path of a northbound car.

A collision occurred, with the horse ending up on the windshield and roof of the heavily damaged car.

The buggy driver, a 27-year-old Perth East man, was taken to hospital with minor injuries, as were the driver and passenger in the car.

Police say the horse was taken to a nearby farm, where he was tended to by a veterinarian.

The driver of the buggy was charged with failure to share the road.
