Former Kitchener Rangers' defenceman Chad Lowry will be one of four players to suit up for the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks' men's hockey team this season.

Head Coach Greg Puhalski announced the remainder of his 2011 recruiting class Tuesday. The other three players that will join Laurier are forwards Marc Bourgeios of Glace Bay, N.S., Tyler Stothers of Oakville and Dustin Scott of Collingwood.

Lowry, a strong-skating Waterloo-native, spent the last year and a half with the Rangers in the Ontario Hockey League after coming over from the Peterborough Petes during the 2009-10 season.

Last season, Lowry recorded career highs in assists (8), points (10) and plus/minus (+10). In 180 career games with Peterborough and Kitchener, Lowry scored five goals and 20 assists while recording 183 penalty minutes.
