A driver lost control in a Kitchener neighbourhood Thursday night.

The car he was driving ended up slamming into the back of a house in the Williamsburgh area near Fischer-Hallman and Westmount.

The starting point for the incident was in a parking lot at a fitness club, then onward to a fence, crossing a community pathway, hitting another fence and taking out third fence before hitting the house and coming to a stop.

Waterloo Regional Police say that a 54-year-old Kitchener man was behind the wheel.

The homeowner, Eric Brum, was in his kitchen when the car crashed into the back of his house.

He said that both he and his wife were not injured, but noted that his neighbour’s home was damaged.

The driver was taken to hospital.

Police are investigating the cause but suspect it was a medical condition that triggered the crash.
