Police say inattentive driving led to a car ending up on its side in downtown Kitchener on Friday.

The collision occurred around 2 p.m., at King and Eby streets.

According to Waterloo Regional Police, the car was making a right turn off of Eby when it mounted a curb and a curbside flowerbox, before coming to rest on King.

The driver was able to get out of the vehicle uninjured via the passenger-side window.

Police say charges are pending.
