A Kitchener woman is facing an impaired driving charge after her car crashed into a bank Thursday afternoon.

The collision occurred around 1 p.m. at the Scotiabank at Westmount and Highland roads in Kitchener.

It left the bank building with damaged bricks and windows.

No injuries were reported, either to the 62-year-old driver or to anybody inside the bank.

The bank branch closed temporarily after the collision occurred, with customers directed to a banking machine on the premises instead.
