A Cambridge woman was left with injuries and a Highway Traffic Act charge after being hit by a car in Cambridge.

The 51-year-old woman was crossing King Street East near Bishop Street shortly before 4 p.m. Tuesday.

According to Waterloo Regional Police, the woman was crossing in a “non-crosswalk area” when she was hit by the southbound car.

She was taken to hospital with shoulder and leg injuries, and said to be in stable condition.

She also faces a charge of failing to use a crosswalk.
