A Cambridge neighbourhood was evacuated Tuesday afternoon after a minivan took out a gas meter.
Just after 3 p.m. the van drove off the road and hit the side of a townhome at the intersection of Mercer Road and Galt Avenue.
As a precaution, emergency crews cleared the area until the gas leak could be fixed. Damage to the home was minor.
The driver of the van was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
