Two Waterloo-Wellington residents are celebrating big wins in Ontario lotteries.

In the Nov. 15 Lotto 6/49 draw, Usha Mehta won the lottery’s guaranteed $1 million prize, as well as $2 for matching one Encore number.

“I won small prizes before, but never a big one like this,” the Cambridge resident said in an OLG press release.

Mehta plans to use her winnings to visit family in California, invest money on behalf of her grandchildren and take a family vacation to Dubai.

She bought her ticket at a lotto shop in Hamilton.

A recent Instant Bonus Cash for Life scratch ticket also landed Fergus resident Barbara Reed a big payday.

Reed, who purchased her ticket at the Zehrs store in Fergus, won $675,000.
