Thousands of books were on sale at discounted prices this week in a tradition which has endured for more than half a century.
The 53rd annual Canadian Federation of University Women Kitchener-Waterloo Used Book Sale took place Friday and Saturday at First United Church in Waterloo.
All books, video games, CDs and DVDs on offer had been donated by members of the community.
Proceeds from the event are put toward bursaries and scholarships supported by the CFUW.
Any books that were unsold by end-of-day Saturday were to be donated to charity.
