A crash involving a bicycle disrupted the morning commute in downtown Kitchener Wednesday morning.

Around 7:10 a.m., a cyclist was hit by a car at the corner of Victoria Street and Duke Street.  The 25-year-old woman on the bike was sent to hospital with what were believed to be non-life threatening injuries.  The front end of the car had evident damage, including the windshield and front roof area.

Traffic leading to the intersection was diverted as officers investigated the crash.  Officers at the scene say charges are pending, though it is unclear who may have been at fault.

Police are asking any witnesses to contact them as they continue the investigation.
