At a modest home in east Cambridge, there’s a lot going on.

Two-year-old Emily is constantly discovering new things.

While it’s never easy for the first child to adjust to a new sibling, Emily can be forgiven if she finds it more difficult – because last summer, she found herself with one new sister and two new brothers.

With that many youngsters all growing up together, mealtime, naptime and other childhood rituals are just a little bit more frantic.

And in the last few days, parents Dan Gibson and Corrie Whyte have had another distraction to deal with – a phone ringing seemingly all the time.

Who’s on the other end? Usually, it’s national or international media outlets. One time, it was somebody from The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

It’s all because of a video parents Dan Gibson and Corrie Whyte put together last week – one that, in only four days, had garnered 50 million views on Facebook.

“I was happy when it hit 5,000 … but it just kept growing,” Gibson said Monday.

“We woke up Saturday morning and all of a sudden it was at a million views,” added Whyte.

The video shows a fairly typical changing room scene in Gibson and Whyte’s household.

Whyte tries to dress one baby, only to be constantly interrupted as the others move over to the edge of the bed.

Posting videos to Facebook is nothing new for the couple, who had amassed a following on that site since they set up their group last year.

What is different about the latest video is that it stars Whyte – who’s normally content to stay behind the camera.

“She’s the one who does this in a day-to-day basis,” Gibson explained.

“I said ‘Corri, you’ve got to be in the video.’ “

Gibson and Whyte plan to continue their series of videos – with the next one showcasing the same scene, only with Gibson trying to wrangle the kids.
