Rolling Acres Cider Mill is recalling unpasteurized apple cider sold at the St. Jacobs Farmers’ Market due to possible E. coli contamination.

The cider was sold at the market on October 10, 2014. It was also sold at the company’s Martin Creek Road location between October 10 and 11 2014. It was sold in two and four litre jugs, as well as in unlabeled plastic bags.

If you have Rolling Acres apple cider purchased on those dates you should not consume it.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is conducting a food safety investigation, which could lead to the recall of more products.

E. coli can cause nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. In severe cases it can cause seizures, strokes, kidney damage or even death.

If you feel you have been ill from consuming this product, please contact your doctor or local health unit..
