Police are looking to speak with the owner of a 2000 GMC Sierra pickup truck following a hit and run.

The crash happened Saturday at 12:30 a.m. in Kitchener.

According to police, the vehicle turned onto Frederick Street from Edna Street when it hit the curb and struck a utility pole.

The truck continued through a garden and through a parking lot, before hitting a building on Frederick.

The driver allegedly took off. Officers along with a canine unit were unable to track the suspect down.

Police say they have evidence the driver was drinking alcohol while driving and travelling at a high rate of speed.

Police believe the driver was hurt in the collision.

Anyone with information is asked to call Waterloo Regional Police or Crime Stoppers.
