Some special athletes and those who inspire them came together Tuesday night for a seasonal celebration.
Swimmer Mike DeBlock had nothing but praise for his coach. “He taught me to be good, not a superstar, but he wanted me to do my best and have fun.”
He was one of about ninety competitors at Tuesday night’s Special Olympics K-W Holiday Ball.
The event was for those involved in different Special Olympic events, from the athletes themselves to coaches, volunteers, parents and caregivers.
